A TWO-WAY CONVERSATION
2 TIMOTHY 3:16-17 – “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work”. [ESV]
Let me ask you a fundamental question because that is the reason for our being: What is the Bible? The Bible is God’s special gift to us as Christians. It is the greatest book on earth; the Book of books. It is the Word of God which is our standard of living as Christians; it is a gift of God to us.
God gave us the Bible to show us the way of salvation and to teach us how to live for Him. The more you read your Bible, the more you will understand about yourself and this God who created you. By meditating on each Word you read, by turning it over and over in your heart, I mean, the more you think about what you read, the more familiar you will become with His voice.
Fill your prayer with Scripture by using the Words you have read. Prayer and Bible reading should always go together. One is not complete without the other. Prayer is a two-way conversation – you talk to Him and then, you listen while He talks to you. Every day, let God speak to you through reading His Word.
Prayer: To increase your faith and keep your purity, ask God for the grace of obeying His Word.
