Prophet T.B. Joshua

“The main thing about Christianity is not the work we do but the relationship we maintain and the atmosphere produced by that relationship.

In John 21:15-19, note that Jesus did not ask Peter if he was a gifted speaker or a talented leader. No matter how gifted you are, when your character is attacked, your gift goes nowhere in the service of God. God’s Word reflects His character.

Jesus did not inquire about Peter’s seminary training or Bible knowledge. Because God’s Word refreshes our mind; God’s Spirit renews our strength. Those things are important but they are not the issue. The issue is quite simple. The issue is found in Jesus’ question, ‘Do you love Me?’ Love for Jesus is the only reason, the only motive for ministry that will endure the test.

Jesus did not even ask Peter, ‘Do you love people?’ Loving people is important for ministry but loving Jesus is more important. Ministry does not begin with a love for people. It begins with a love for God. Nothing is more important than our relationship with Jesus.

The main requirement in making a difference for Jesus is being in love with Jesus. Jesus repeated the question three times because He wanted the concept to be crystal clear, understood. Once again, NOTHING is more important than our relationship with Jesus.”
