VIDEO: TB Joshua fires back over controversial Sierra Leone testimony

Julius Maada Bio, Sierra Leone, tb joshua, scoanAfter news was widely circulated that a Sierra Leonean government official was ‘sacked’ following her testimony at T.B. Joshua’s church, the Nigerian cleric has responded by releasing a video of the lady’s controversial testimony.

International media outlets such as CNN reported the story of Mrs Fatmata Edna Kargbo, the Chief Protocol Officer of President Julius Maada Bio, whose testimony of ‘God’s blessings in her life’ after visiting Joshua’s church in Lagos, Nigeria, sparked public concern in Sierra Leone.

Kargbo was invited for questioning by the nation’s anti-corruption agency after insinuations were rife at the speed of her apparent rise in wealth.

However, Joshua’s television channel, Emmanuel TV, released the video of Kargbo’s actual testimony, which she shared on Sunday 21stJuly 2019.

According to Kargbo, after visiting The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) – “the house I constructed for 10 years without finishing – in exactly 14 years, I was able to complete it through the grace of God!”

This contradicts the narrative implied by most media reports that the Sierra Leonean politician amassed excessive finances within the short timeframe of her appointment as Bio’s Chief Protocol Officer in April 2018.

The clip released on Emmanuel TV also paints Kargbo as a patriotic figure who championed the cause of her nation during the deadly Ebola outbreak in the nation in 2014.

A letter from then President Dr Ernest Bai Koroma to Joshua, requesting his assistance in the nation to battle the deadly virus, is revealed, alongside a donation of $50,000 to Sierra Leone and 4,000 bottles of ‘Anointing Water’ to help curb the spread of the disease.

Kargbo reveals she personally received the gifts from Joshua – which were sent in a private jet chartered to the tune of $50,000 – and ensured they reached the affected areas, claiming that the regions where the ‘water’ reached were later declared Ebola free.

Although most media reports claimed Kargbo had been ‘sacked’ from her job, a statement from the presidential office indicated she had only been placed on leave pending the outcome of the corruption investigation.

TB JOSHUA PULLS CHINESE CROWD TO NIGERIA!

china, scoan, tb joshuaChristians from as far afield as China have trudged in their numbers to Nigeria in search of a ‘miracle’ through the ministry of Pastor T.B. Joshua.

Despite recent reports highlighting the suppression of Christianity in Communist China, it has not deterred large groups of Chinese citizens embarking on religious tourism to Joshua’s popular Lagos-based church named The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN).

On Sunday 25thAugust 2019, in Joshua’s church service broadcast on Emmanuel TV – YouTube’s most watched Christian ministry network with over 500,000,000 individual views – more than 150 Asian worshippers can be seen in the midst of the multicultural crowd.china, tb joshua. scoan

A Chinese citizen named Shou Qiang shared a public testimony that he was ‘delivered’ from a ‘suicidal spirit’ following Joshua’s prophecy and prayers.

china, scoanAccompanied by his wife and young daughter, Qiang admitted he had almost committed suicide on three occasions prior to his visit to Nigeria but that after his ‘miracle’, he no longer nursed such ‘demonic’ tendencies.

“I feel very free and calm in my heart; I am totally delivered,”he divulged in his ‘testimony’ subsequently uploaded to YouTube, adding that he now intends to ‘share the good news’ with his fellow Chinese citizens.

Recent months have seen a spike in Chinese visitors to Nigeria for the purpose of pilgrimage to Joshua’s church, with groups equally arriving from Hong Kong, Vietnam, Korea and Singapore.

Tourism experts estimate religious tourism contributes over 3% of Nigeria’s GDP, and official figures

indicate visitors to The SCOAN account for 60% of foreigners entering the nation.scoan, china, tb joshua

According to Wikipedia, the two nations have a rich history of bilateral relations and China is considered one of Nigeria’s most important trading and export partners.

Don’t Sack Any of Your Officials Based on Their Testimonies or Confessions in SCOAN

Julius Maada Bio, Sierra Leone

Julius Maada Bio, the president of Sierra Leone

It has come sadly to our notice in newspapers that the President of Sierra Leone, His Excellency Julius Bio, has sacked his state chief of protocol, Edna Kargbo, following her open testimony at SCOAN Nigeria. Kargbo, like thousands of others, might have come to the Synagogue Church of All Nations in Lagos,  (SCOAN of Senior Prophet TB Joshua), testifying to the goodness of the Lord.

The general public should endeavour to know that whereas such testimonies, especially given at SCOAN, are real and trustworthy and are for God’s glory, they shouldn’t be used to punish individuals giving the testimonies. These testimonies shouldn’t also be used to arrest any of your staff members or tender as evidence in any legal proceedings. They are for the Church and where science cannot explain everything about God’s interventions in our lives, miracles, or the deliverance from shackles of poverty, or the stronghold of Satan. In any case, if God has thoroughly blessed this individual there is nothing any president can do about it, except probably that the president may be inadvertently bringing himself down by refusing to accept the work of the Holy Spirit.

That as it may, it is equally necessary to educate the public about confessions and testimonies at most Living Church of Christ and at Christian gatherings such as in SCOAN Lagos or any of it’s Crusades home or abroad. These testimonies and confessions are what the individuals perceive but truly couldn’t explain why. As far as they are concerned it can only be by some supernatural forces working for them and not their merit. Hence kindly don’t use their confessions to sack them nor use their past to punish them. Even in a multi-religious setting like in Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Ghana, etc, governments shouldn’t intervene in Church matters in issues like this. The government that failed by its internal intelligence mechanism shouldn’t have used the Church as places it could collect negative information on its officials. It is both morally and spiritually unethical.

The public should know and appreciate that individuals that pass through SCOAN’s deliverance processes usually become positively changed persons and more valued resourceful persons. They would normally be able to carry more responsibility, become my reliable, more trustworthy and more dependable. They will have an excellent spirit like was in Daniel, given to them by Jesus Christ.  It is only when these expected changes are not visible in their duties that one could question them. The Jesus Christ we meet at SCOAN, or in any living Church and some are also in Sierra Leone, is big beyond our imagination and can bless not only our sister Edna Kargbo but every Sierra Leonian with bigger testimonies.

Emmanuel TV Growing YouTube Viewers

emmanuel tv, scoan, youtube, tb joshua The Synagogue Church Of All Nations, SCOAN, led by the Senior Prophet TB Joshua, is celebrating its growing number of viewers via the Channel for becoming the first Christian Ministry Channel to surpass 500,000,000 views on YouTube. This is a big landmark as one in about fifteen persons worldwide is an Emmanuel TV viewer on YouTube. Those using other television channels or devices could be equally high. The implication is that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is spreading to every nuke and corner of the world.

We thank Jesus Christ for this and congratulate the efforts of TB Joshua, Emmanuel TV partners and the entire SCOAN team. The projected current world population is 7.7 billion. Emmanuel TV has thus become the most viewed Christian ministry channel on YouTube.

In statistical terms, YouTube has become the largest online video streaming website in the world. YouTube is now used by over 1 billion internet users. Therefore, YouTube is having such a significant influence over the web, controlling more than a third of the social media activities, after the likes of Google, Facebook, etc. TB Joshua and his ministries can also be found in those other Social Media platform.

The Biblical significance of this rate of spread of the gospel through social media channel will become visible soon when suddenly Jesus Christ will appear in the cloud and the shout of the Archangels sounding. The spiritual dimension of current events should be of paramount to the society rather than the big numbers and statistics from YouTube.

Meanwhile, it can be seen that Emmanuel TV was a well thought out idea by the leadership of the SCOAN when it started only 13 years ago. It is still by His grace that we are called to Jesus Christ. Even those receiving their calls through YouTube, or directly from the Bible, or a preacher, it’s still by grace. Hence, in whatever level of the “Jesus’ Gospel Field,” we are called to, we must work well. Emmanuel TV is not only serving as a backup of the evidence of the gospel in the  SCOAN but also bringing the gospel closer to us daily.

Video: How Prophet TB Joshua got Arrested in Church by a Nigerian Pastor

tb joshua, scoan, emmanuel tvThis bizarre footage – taken over two decades ago at a Lagos church – shows the extent of persecution TB Joshua has endured over the years, especially from religious groups and places of worship.

In the midst of a large congregation, this lady sensationally claims she slept with TB Joshua to give him demonic powers and made a satanic covenant with him – all the time being egged on by Nigerian Pastor Julius Babatunde Kumoluyi. The climax of the staged confession comes when TB Joshua’s ‘spirit’ allegedly descends into the church and is ‘arrested’!

After the whole ‘drama’, the same Pastor backtracks in a subsequent talkshow, admitting churches should preach salvation rather than condemnation and leave the issue for God.

“If you have not tasted persecution and humiliation, you will not be able to manage honour when it comes.” – T.B. Joshua

WATCH below what happens when this Nigerian Pastor ‘arrests’ TB Joshua during a bizarre church service!!!

TB Joshua and relevance of church in contemporary society

tb joshua ministry

Prophet T.B. Joshua

By Gareth Watson

TB Joshua… In the West many view the church as obsolete. In the UK for example, ancient cathedrals that date back to the 1400s are appreciated for their opulent architectural edifice rather than the social fabric that enlivens them on Sundays.

Contemporary issues that face the modern society such as access to education, promoting diversity in elite universities, marital problems, mental health matters and issues of depression are rarely tackled in a single church sitting – yet these are many of the 21st century challenges that society continues to grapple with.

The social stigma of adult bed-wetting

For example, the social stigma associated with the condition of bed-wetting among adults appears was recently challenged at a prominent church in Lagos, Nigeria. During a church sitting on 18 August 2019, a middle-aged woman from Canada who introduced herself as Jenette Njodzenyuy Yula shared her life experience of the shame she encountered bed-wetting as an adult and mother of two.

“My husband had to sleep in the other room and I couldn’t even visit friends because of the bed-wetting”, she reminisced. Yula explained how after ‘prayers’ from T.B. Joshua’s church in Lagos, Nigeria the previous Sunday, she slept for an entire week without bedwetting for the first time in her whole life.

“I slept and woke up with my bed dry!” she exclaimed. Her mother and daughter strangely suffered from the same condition and both equally joined the testimony to acknowledge “God set them free” from the embarrassing condition after visiting the church. Talking about her former issue candidly appeared to be a kind of catharsis for Yula.

Nocturnal enuresis, in other words adult bed-wetting, is a condition that millions continue to suffer with in silence. According to some research conducted, about 26 million American adults are affected by urinary incontinence and face social stigma associated to the condition.

Access to education & promoting diversity in elite universities

Access to education remains a widespread challenge across the world. However, reputable elite universities across the West, particularly in the US and the UK, face an additional challenge of promoting diversity – racial and class representation – within their walls.

The Universities of Oxford and Cambridge in the UK, colloquially referred to as Oxbridge, have in the past two years sought to attract the Black and Minority Ethnic communities of the UK to increase their abysmal statistics of Black and Minority Ethnic communities on their respective campuses. Lady Margaret Hall (LMH), at the University of Oxford inaugurated a foundation programme to attract a diverse student-base. Cambridge University has said that it intends to launch a programme to aid disadvantaged students with a similar programme as that at LMH.

T.B. Joshua’s church seems to arguably have innovative ways of inspiring students in this area. A black British teenage student, Miss Blessing Omorodion, shared on T.B. Joshua’s television channel how she was inspired by the cleric and his inspirational ‘faith-boosting prayers’ to apply to the University of Oxford to study Medicine.

Omorodion stated how her mother visited T.B. Joshua’s mega-church in Lagos propelled her to study hard and ultimately apply to the elite institution. According to Blessing, some months after her mother’s visit to The SCOAN, she gained admission and she thanked T.B. Joshua for the inspiration.

Another student, Rebecca Ayodeji Akeresola, stated how she had received the necessary impetus from T.B. Joshua’s church to apply to study Mathematics at the African Mathematical Sciences Institute in Rwanda. To her surprise she gained admission on a full scholarship.

The role of the church in addressing marital issues

Another young adult woman (accompanied by her husband) candidly shared her life experience that one would ordinarily not associate with a church setting: issues of marital intimacy. During a detailed testimony, in a question and answer format, a young married woman, Mrs Ngozi Nwachukwu, stated how her marriage was saved from collapsing after she received what she called, “a word of prophecy” concerning a private issue she could not disclose to any person except her husband.

“Prophet T.B. Joshua prophesied to me in the midst of the crowd and said, ‘There is a woman there – your passage is blocked for affection… It’s a spiritual attack’,” Mrs Nwachukwu said. The young woman explained how her marriage was encountering challenges due to her private gynaecological condition that she could not disclose to anyone. With a husband who was losing patience, she had nowhere else to go, and so she made a way to an unlikely place for help – where she had seen others with varied issues go and find succour – a church in Lagos.

Mrs Nwachukwu explained (supported and reiterated by her husband) how after the ‘prayers’ conducted by T.B. Joshua the previous Sunday, both her marital relationship and her gynaecological-health challenge had been resolved; and she now enjoys marital bliss she never knew before the ‘prayers’.

Conclusion

One may wonder what the role of the church is given all of these varied examples. T.B. Joshua’s Sunday services are unconventional, unorthodox and seem to shake the traditional church networks in his native Nigeria – yet they appear to directly address the societal concerns that people face. From teenagers to young adults; middle-aged men and women to older, senior citizens – all appear to collectively find solace in an unlikely place. Is the Nigerian cleric redefining and challenging the stereotypical and traditional notions of “church”?

T.B. Joshua has over 3.5 million followers on Facebook. His YouTube channel is reportedly the most watched Christian ministry (without a musical focus) on YouTube, with over 2 million subscribers across its English, French, Spanish and Portuguese YouTube channels. His English channel alone has amassed over 500 million views on YouTube.

Nigerian Student Testifies TB Joshua’s Prayers Helped Her Gain Admission to Oxford University!

blessing, tb joshua, scoan

Blessing Omorodion

A Nigerian student in UK who gained admission into the prestigious Oxford University has acknowledged that the prayers of T.B. Joshua were instrumental to her academic breakthrough.

In the run-up to her exams, Blessing explained that “things got really tough” but she found strength through praying along with Joshua via his television network Emmanuel TV and ministering ‘Morning Water’ from his church.

In a testimony shared on Joshua’s official Facebook Page followed by 3.5 million people, a young lady named Blessing Omorodion recounted how her mother visited the cleric’s Lagos-based Church in December 2018.

“I had recently applied to the University of Oxford to study medicine, so I asked her to pray about my application. The following Tuesday after she visited The SCOAN on Sunday, I received an email stating that I got an interview and, by the grace of God, I got an offer,” she recounted.

However, the academic requirements necessary to meet the offer were rigorous. “I was required to get at least an A* and 2 As in my A-levels exams, so I knew that I would need to pray and work hard to meet these conditions,” she explained.

In the run-up to her exams, Blessing explained that “things got really tough” but she found strength through praying along with Joshua via his television network Emmanuel TV and ministering ‘Morning Water’ from his church.

“The encouraging words of Prophet T.B. Joshua on Emmanuel TV helped me to maintain my faith,” she testified.

According to Miss Omorodion, she even surpassed her academic expectations in the ensuing exams.

“By the grace of God, I not only met my offer but exceeded it by getting 3 A*s in my Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology A levels,” Blessing ecstatically concluded.

Her academic institution Brampton Manor took to Twitter to celebrate her achievement, with Oxford University’s official Twitter feed retweeting the announcement of her successful admission.

An article published in UK’s Sun Newspaper highlighted Blessing’s remarkable achievement, revealing she only arrived in Britain aged 15 and could barely speak English at that time.

The University of Oxford, the oldest academic institution in the English-speaking world, is renowned as one of the world’s most prestigious universities and universally ranked among the best higher learning establishments worldwide.blessing, tb joshua, scoan

T.B. Joshua equally sponsored a Nigerian student, Olayinka Oduwole, for a PhD in the same institute, investing over £100,000 (N44m) in her academic pursuits. She has since graduated and now engages in pioneering research into 5G technology at the University of Surrey.
