THE WALK OF FAITH

2 Corinthians 5:7 says, “For we walk by faith, not by sight.”

It is common nowadays for people to believe that the walk of faith is risky because many base their Christian experience on what they see and feel. The walk of faith is not a risk but a sure and practical act. If a person has not received the teaching of the Scriptures, if he has not been grounded in the Word of God or the promise of the Holy Spirit, forcing himself to do such act is indeed a risk because faith comes when the Word of God prevails over the thinking process.

Every time God gives us faith, He gives us the evidence of faith – an absolute trust in Him that He is now working out the answer. Acts of faith are but acts of self-surrender – putting an absolute stop to your work, way, reasoning and resting in God’s love, wisdom and power. The fact that Jesus Christ died on the Cross of Calvary makes it unnecessary for us to complain, suffer or lament. The very foundation for receiving answers to our prayer is to base our faith on the fact that Christ Jesus died for us. Healing, deliverance, salvation and all of God’s blessings have been paid for and offered freely at the price of great suffering. Receive them by faith! They are yours for the asking.
