Appraisal of TB Joshua Ministries in the Year 2020

In the secular world, the year 2020 may go down in history as the worst year ever, at least to those of us living in it now. It started with great flames that destroyed over 46 million acres in Australia, racial unrest broke out in the USA fueling more disunity in that community, record-breaking hurricanes in many places, and then covid-19 pandemic raged across the planet. Across the globe, covid-19 has infected some 80 million and killing more than 1.7 million people so far and it is still unabated. Despite the introduction of different types of vaccines, the world is experiencing a second wave of the virus, and the emergence of new strains reported to be more contagious than a previously-known strain. The year 2020 was a terrible, horrible, and a very bad year in the eye of any natural man. Covid-19, rather than the propagation of the Gospel of Jesus, or world unrest due to wars in hot spots, the new challenges facing democracy especially from the aftermath of US 2020 presidential election, the growing social inequalities across the globe, growing large scale of unemployment, hunger, homelessness, general poverty, etc; covid-19 alone makes the headlines in the news media in 2020.

The prophetic ministry of TB Joshua of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, SCOAN, Lagos Nigeria, from the beginning, described the year 2020 as “A Year of Humility” he said would be starting from March 2020. At that time nobody saw covid-19 in the horizon nor that it could cause the lockdown of even SCOAN normal worship programmes; services we had all come to value. Covid-19 is no respecter of any person, continent nor race. It has come to humble world Presidents, Prime Ministers, Kings and the Princes, and the same way as an ordinary man on the street. Worship places and learning institutions were locked down for most of the year. It has been a humbling year indeed as prophesied by TB Joshua.

Nevertheless, in October 2020 the President of the Republic of South Sudan, Salva Kiir Mayardit sent a special invitation to Prophet TB Joshua to come to his country for the prophetic intervention of peace. It would be recalled that Prophet TB Joshua had prophetically intervened in that country the year before. South Sudan, the youngest nation, is also one in which the world organizations have been trying to negotiate peace but where human wisdom is failing. But God has the final answer and can use Prophet TB Joshua. We believe that God will honour Himself and establish peace in South Sudan.

Another milestone recorded by SCOAN in 2020 was the “Distance is Not a Barrier to the Move of God”. This slogan is not new in the scripture but we don’t know any other ministry in history that has used it in the scale of SCOAN. Jesus Himself used it in an encounter He has with the centurion who came to receive healing for his servant, (Matthew 8:8-13). The centurion had come and said to Jesus “Lord, I am not worthy that Thou shouldest come under my roof. Speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed”. Jesus said unto the centurion, “Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee”. His servant was healed in the selfsame hour. This is a ministry Emmanuel TV used during this covid-19 to heal many of her viewers of diverse illnesses, with covid-19 just a special case. In (Ezekiel 12:24-25) the Lord has said, “I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall come to pass; it shall be no more prolonged: for in your days, O rebellious house, will I say the word, and will perform it”.

Hence for the Church of Christ in SCOAN, under Bishop TB Joshua, it would be said that the year 2020 had many challenges but everything therein was for the glory of God. In human terms, we try to estimate how many people would have benefitted from the free but divine services of SCOAN if there had been no lockdown but we’d run out of calculations. SCOAN Arena is a typical Church and for those who believe a Spiritual Clinic at the same time. Those healed by faith and prayers become as if nothing has ever happened to them. Jesus Christ the Christmas born Messiah of God’s people shall continually heal us, now and in the coming years. The year 2020 might have truly been very humbling, even for the Church of Christ, the global health, every economy, every institution, and every individual, but it has been “as the prophet said it would be”. We also know that this prophet may have a message for the world about the coming year. We encourage us to listen to what God may be saying. Where is the One Who has Been Born King of the Jews?

After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Wisemen (the Magi) from the east arrived in Jerusalem, asking, “Where is the One who has been born King of the Jews? We saw His star in the east and have come to worship Him, (Matthew 2:1-2). The Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) has become a major destination for pilgrims looking for Jesus, especially at Christmas. People come to spend Christmas and New Year with Prophet TB Joshua in SCOAN because they know that they will find Jesus in that Arena. Tourists from all over the globe come to SCOAN to seek God’s intervention for one reason or another and to pray with His prophet there. This 2020 Christmas, defined by covid-19, is going to be different and making the well known Arena of Liberty less busy and less noisy of our joyful praises and dancing. When the prophet refused to open after the Lagos State permitted worship places to reopen we were not too happy. But prophet TB Joshua insisted chooses to wait on God to order the reopening. We didn’t know at that time that covid-19 would have a second wave stronger than the first wave with a new strain of the virus, and possibly more subsequent waves ahead. The prophet is correct after all.

The Wisemen from the East went straight to Jerusalem to the palace of King Herod looking for Jesus, the New Born King. When King Herod heard the news, he was disturbed, and all Jerusalem with him. Today the kingdom of darkness is not rejoicing that the Promised King, prophesied by many prophets, had been born. Even Balam said about this King, “I see Him, but not now; I behold Him, but not near. A Star will come forth from Jacob, and a sceptre will arise from Israel. He will crush the skulls of Moab and strike down all the sons of Sheth, (Numbers 24:17). Jeremiah also said, “Behold, the days are coming, declares the LORD, when I will raise for David a Righteous Branch, and He will reign wisely as king and administer justice and righteousness in the land, (Jeremiah 23:5). Zechariah also said, “Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout in triumph, O daughter of Jerusalem! See, your King comes to you, righteous and victorious, gentle and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey”, (Zechariah 9:9). Despite all the prophecies when King Herod heard that another King was born he was still disturbed, and all Jerusalem with him. For us, we shall rejoice and sing, “Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord. Peace in heaven and glory in the highest”, (Luke 19:38). As for Christians all over the world we’ll continually sing, “O sing unto the Lord a new song; for he hath done marvellous things”, (Psalms 98:1).

Now the 21st Century Church of Christ is facing increasingly numerous challenges. Prophet TB Joshua is nevertheless one of the Church leaders we can describe as serving, loving and struggling for the good of the “Complete and Balance Teaching” of the Gospel of Jesus Christ The church is near and dear to his heart, and he spears no effort or amount in making sure the true gospel goes out. He has also continued to raise many apostles of standing, with sound knowledge of this Jesus of Nazareth, who also is the Christ of Christmas. Some of the challenges also include the prevailing society that is only willing to raise the class of church it wants and to listen only to whatever it wants to hear; instead of the Church where Jesus Christ will be present or preaching what the congregation needs to hear. Our inability to live by biblical teaching makes the Church biblically illiterate and ineffective. On this, we thank God that Prophet TB Joshua has continued to impact on the global society that living by the Word of Jesus Christ brings Jesus into our situation always and making doing exploits, for and in Jesus’ name, like mere spoken words. It is our prayers that 2021 will produce a Christ Church that is led by revelation from above and not by sight nor mere motivational speakers. Hence if you are looking for Jesus, look into the scriptures and you will find Him therein. “Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me”, (John 5:39).

Go to TB Joshua of SCOAN, and do what He Tells You

We read in Genesis 41 about Joseph, one of the 12 sons of Jacob, sold by ten of his brothers at a slave price to Egypt. But in time Joseph survived the ordeals in the pit, in Potiphar’s house and in the prison to become a ruler in Egypt. In Genesis 41:41 Pharaoh said to Joseph, “You shall be in charge of my palace, and all my people are to submit to your orders. Only with respect to the throne will I be greater than you.” Joseph was now the Prime Minister in Egypt with enormous authority and powers. The famine period Joseph predicted had come and “When all Egypt began to feel the famine, the people cried to Pharaoh for food. Then Pharaoh told all the Egyptians, “Go to Joseph and do what he tells you,” (Genesis 41:55). Similarly, when Jacob (Joseph’s father in Canaan) found out that grain was for sale in Egypt, he said to his sons, “Why do you keep looking at each other? I’ve heard there’s grain for sale in Egypt. Go there (to Joseph) and buy some for us so that we won’t starve to death”, (Genesis 42:1-3). Hence you come to Joseph. After all, you know that he will solve your hunger, go to Joseph and do whatever he tells you to do because you have faith in him.

In John chapter 2: 1-11 we read that Mary the mother of Jesus, Jesus Himself and His disciples, we’re called to a wedding ceremony. They ran out of wine and the mother of Jesus saith unto Him, “They have no wine”. Jesus’ mother did not ask Him to make, buy, or create more wine. She simply told Him what her concern was, and told others to follow His lead. His mother saith unto the servants, “Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it”. It is significant to note that Mary didn’t ask for anything in particular. She did, however, told the servants to listen and to obey His instructions. Mary seemed content to trust in God’s plans, even when she didn’t know all the details. All she knew was that we should “Go to Jesus” for every one of our numerous concerns. Mary had absolute faith in Jesus, even though she was His mother. She recognized Jesus as the Messiah that would solve our burden by going to Him.

At several other occasions, individuals went to Jesus with their troubles and concerns for healing, for more understanding, even to truly known if He was the Promised Messiah. For example, in (Matthew 14: 21-31) where Jesus walked on the sea but His disciples thought It was a ghost. Jesus reassured them saying, “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.” Peter answered Him and said, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.”

So Jesus said, “Come.” As long as Peter kept his focus on Christ, he could do the impossible, and walking on the sea to meet Jesus.  But once he began walking by sight, fear gripped him. Under the control of doubt or fear, Peter was no longer able to do the impossible. Hence everyone should come to Jesus without fear, doubt or any anxiety because He is the Messiah of the universe. Go to Jesus.

Today across the globe many people are coming to see Prophet TB Joshua of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, SCOAN, in Lagos Nigeria or meet him in any of his International Crusades. Jesus had faced our helplessness before with compassion. “When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd (Matthew 9:36)”. There is a lot of love and compassion when you come to SCOAN, known by many as Arena of Liberty. Despite the long queue and the big crowd of people to be encountered by those who will eventually make it to the Arena of Liberty about 99% of others who wish to come are hindered. Many listen to advice from other pastors, friends, or reading the internet largely owned by the devil and his agents. Many come only because of their problems and for other unholy motives. We recommend that you come to Jesus as you believe that He loves and doesn’t want you to perish in the consequences of your sin.

When Pharaoh told them to “Go to Joseph” he knew that Joseph had the answer. Similarly when Mary the mother of Jesus told the servants to “Go to Jesus and do whatever He tells you to do” she had no iota of doubt. She knew how far she’d come with Jesus and that Jesus is not just her son but “the Son of God, the Messiah”. Hence come to Jesus and whatever He tells you please do it. The people in SCOAN are generously telling each person to join a Living Church, a church where Christ presence and supremacy is acknowledged, recognized, preached and worshipped. Many still look at Baby Jesus in the manger, as the Crucified One. Yes, but Jesus is the Mighty God, the Saviour of the world, Messiah the King, the One that was, that is and Who is coming soon. World Figures Confirm TB Joshua’s 2020 Prophecy on Humility

TB Joshua Sends Prophetic Warning to Us President Donald Trump on “SECURITY ISSUES”

The outbreak of COVID-19 has “brought this nation to its knees,” Dr Robert Redfield, director of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, admitted on Tuesday.

According to Redfield, who spoke during a House Energy and Commerce Committee hearing, America was likely going to spend about $7 trillion “because of one little virus.”

“We’ve all done the best that we can do to tackle this virus,” he stated, confessing coronavirus had humbled the entire nation.

Redfield’s words appear to be in correlation with the prophetic declaration of Prophet TB Joshua almost a decade earlier.

On October 16th, 2011, Joshua prophesied about a looming crisis that would bring every nation “on their knees.”

“Everyone will be humbled,” he explained. “There is something God wants to achieve concerning this – God wants to achieve humility to the core. He wants everyone to be on their knees, every nation to be on their knees. After that, the solution will come.”

Three years earlier on December 28th, 2008, Joshua had warned in a ‘long-term’ prophecy about a worldwide ‘economic crisis’ and called on countries who “rely on mineral resources like oil” to “quickly look beyond oil”.

“It’s coming and it’s everywhere. You will be forced to be humble,” he clearly stated, calling on people to prepare for such a time.

On the eve of 2020, Joshua declared it “the year of humility”, stressing that God would “humble us with our challenges”.

“This year will be a year of HUMILITY. This year, the Lord will humble us with our challenges. Challenges can be affliction.… Let us move closer to God,” he stated on December 28th, 2019 after an extensive time of prayer at an undisclosed ‘prayer mountain’.

Last month, the Director-General of the World Health Organisation (WHO) Dr Tedros Ghebreyesus equally echoed TB Joshua’s prophecy, stating that the coronavirus outbreak pandemic is teaching the world humility.

“If this virus is teaching us anything, it’s humility. Time for humility. For all the economic, military, and technological might of nations, we have been humbled by this exceedingly small microbe,” the former Ethiopian Minister of Health said, whilst addressing the World Health Assembly.

Similarly, USA Chief Justice John Roberts told graduating seniors at his son’s high school last month that the coronavirus has “pierced our illusion of certainty and control” and turned the world upside down.

“Humility. The pandemic should teach us at least that,” Roberts said in a seven-minute video message posted on the website of the Westminster School in Simsbury, Connecticut, where his son, Jack, is a senior.

In the first week of May whilst delivering a message titled ‘Get Ready for Life After COVID-19 Lockdown’, Joshua had prophesied his words would soon “become a point of reference”.

“By the ending of June to the first week of July, this will begin to become a point of reference: ‘This man said this; that man said it’ – but it is God that said it,” he stated.

Supporters of the cleric on Facebook were quick to point out the timing of these statements from Redfield, Ghebreyesus and Roberts coincided with the specific dates he mentioned.

A video recounting their statements was published to the YouTube channel of Emmanuel TV, which has nearly 1.7 million subscribers and 600 million views.

MY MESSAGE TO PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP ON SECURITY ISSUES – PROPHET TB JOSHUA

During my prophecy for 2020 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k6aJLBVG96c) released on 28th December 2019, prophecy number four concerning America was given as follows: “Approach to the security issue will affect the candidates and swing voters in the next election.”

President Trump, this is what is happening now. Another one is coming. President Trump, wake up to checkmate this. It will go beyond this. Another one is coming, starting from the ending of June. Where there is no vision, people perish. During your regime, the name of Jesus has been given more honour. What glory! Let us look beyond our palace for God’s authority. With God, all things are possible! Let us act now. It is not all up to God; we have a role to play. More appeals to the people and security are required – in a language that will douse the tension and stop this situation – so we can then commit the future one into God’s hands.

SCOAN and the Impact of Coronavirus Pandemic

The coronavirus pandemic, also known as COVID-19, has impacted religious groups in various ways, including the Synagogue, Church of All Nations, (SCOAN). The cancellation of the worship services, the closure of various programmes in the Church such as the opportunity to partake in Living Water Services, taking part and be prayed for on the prayer line, pilgrimages to SCOAN, and all others, have impacted mainly on the affected individuals and the Church. Although SCOAN has been offering worship through Emmanuel.TV studio amidst the pandemic such cannot replace live services and where fellowship, healing and deliverance taking place with testimonies.

The SCOAN and Emmanuel.TV Partners Relief Wings across the globe have been busy dispatching various relief materials including cash and food to some affected areas. This is commendable, as it was in the days of Apostle Stephen that was stoned. It would be recalled however that Prophet TB Joshua has been for many years sounding the warnings, of this coming dooms, in various ways and at different times; Whether the Church had listened or not, whether the warnings were enough or not, the prophet did his part. The prophecy is probably the most significant impacting contribution the church can make to a society bent on going opposite God’s way. Just as someone who always see I watching Emmanuel.TV said to me, “Prof. I like SCOAN Choir because they can sing and dance. I also like the giving of charity and the prophecy of TB Joshua but I am not comfortable with the man himself, I fear him”. SCOAN is a total package, offering Total Christian Living, with or without a pandemic era. One cannot like the birth of Jesus because of Christmas Carols and the giving on Boxing Day without the Crucifixion, the Resurrection of Jesus and His Ascension.

Hence the impact of SCOAN to society is felt more in service cancellation, because of its various benefit components to people, and lack of pilgrims coming to Nigeria. The prophet has already said it that Airline Business will be affected more, especially in places like Nigeria, post COVID-19 pandemic. Unless the Church continues to pray the various World Governments are not going to be in a hurry to allow the Church they didn’t want to re-open. Most governments see the Church of Christ as in the days of John the Baptist. The COVID-19 episode will be their license to deal with the Church and yet many people need healing, physically and spiritually, beyond just COVID-19. In fact, the Church could handle the pandemic it has prophesied about better than politicians who seemingly have walked blindly into the pandemic. The prophet who sees a coming doom is better prepared to handle the case than a king who simply wishes to avoid a war with coronavirus. Whilst governments are considering partial reopening of business centres that have come to mean so much to them they should see worship centres as places where citizens, traumatized or not, can get inspiration and encouragement to bounce back on their health or economies. The Church is the foundation of any successful and thriving society on moral and human rights. Any organization may give relief materials but the Church is the bedrock and succour to every community citizen. The coming post COVID-19 “Economic Pandemic” would need the Church of Christ to prepare people, encouraging them to stand on their two feet and follow Christ to walk.

SLOWLY BUT SURELY!

Do not think that your crying and complaints can force Jesus to become sentimental and then give Himself out so cheaply. When you are emotionally controlled, you lose the sense of objectivity. Jesus’ objectivity is founded on commitment and genuineness of faith. Of all graces, faith honours Christ most; therefore of all graces, Christ honours faith most. The only way to honour, to reverence Christ is to have faith in Him. When you have faith in Him, you would only discuss the One who is fighting for you, instead of the battle. You would discuss the promise of victory instead of warfare. This was what Jesus meant when He said in John 16:33, ‘Take heart, I have overcome the world’. When you have faith in Jesus, each embarrassment, insult and persecution you receive would draw you closer to Him, knowing that the closer you get to Jesus, the more your breakthrough is being built up, slowly but surely (2 Corinthians 12:10).

Look at the case of the Canaanite woman in Matthew 15. Each embarrassment she received drew her closer to Jesus. The closer she got to Jesus, the more her breakthrough was being built up slowly but surely. This means, when answers to our prayers are held back, it is an opportunity for us to be fervent – to pray the more, fast the more. When the results of our effort are held back, it is an opportunity for us as Christians to pray the more, fast the more and be more devoted. Jesus loves those who are able to exercise great faith under great trials and temptation. The hindrances thrown in this woman’s way only tended to increase her faith. This means, trials are the soil in which faith flourishes. If we endure trials and hardship for what we believe, God deals with us as sons.

God’s Intervention in the Affairs of Men

In the Old Testament, we read that Prophet Jeremiah was called to prophetic ministry by God. He was called to give a prophecy of Jerusalem’s destruction that would occur by invaders from the north. This was because Israel had been unfaithful to the laws of the covenant and had forsaken God by worshipping false gods. Jeremiah condemned people burning their children as offerings to idols. In his prophecies, Jeremiah was guided by God to proclaim that the nation of Judah would be faced with famine, plundered and taken captive by foreigners who would exile them to a foreign land, etc. Like today, Jeremiah’s ministry prompted plots against him. Whilst Jeremiah was prophesying the coming destruction, several other prophets were prophesying peace. His prophecies came to fulfilment but the prophet suffered great persecutions.

For over 12 years prophet TB Joshua of Synagogue, Church of All Nations (SCOAN) has been warning about the entire world coming economic downturn to the extent that individuals may be richer than a whole nation. The fulfilment of that prophecy may have just started.  We don’t know the proportion of the population that have listened to him, or that had listened and are taking appropriate steps to protect themselves and asset. What we do know is that what the prophet has been saying repeatedly has come to reality. The global coronavirus pandemic is the vehicle conveying the herald of the coming “economic pandemic”. There are a few lessons to learn but we first need to appreciate God for giving us a prophet at this time that can speak correctly to individuals, to groups of people, to nations or the entire world. I have always found Prophet TB Joshua a man that has separated himself from frivolous activities that are just self-entertaining but devoting himself to total service to God and humanity.

At this stage a few points must be made about this Coronavirus, also tagged COVID-19, that has covered the entire globe, has ruined economies, shutdown Church cathedrals living only empty pews, killing across races and ages. Prophet TB Joshua has said a lot on this COVID-19 and has been praying. The virus has moved to the community transmission level whereby it can get to everyone easily. It has defied any medication, only trials and errors treatment, and so on. It would take a long while getting a vaccine and hence the public should be ready to accommodate this virus for a while.

The second point to know is the coincidence with the prophecy of “A Year of Humility”, also prophesied by Prophet TB Joshua. The prophecy we recall came with conditions that are, “Turning to God in Repentance”. If the world had heeded the prophet and repented maybe by March 27, 2020, the rains would have washed the virus away. Everyone can listen to the prophecy over and again. It was conditional on our needed “changed attitude to the Living God”. Hence for the prophecy of humility to take its effect on a journey from Egypt to the Promised Land meant for about only 40 days may take 40 years, unless this generation is ready for God.

Our prayer points are many. We want God to keep talking to us and we don’t want our cathedrals filled with only empty pews. This generation can best be described as “Eye-service-Generation”, nearly everyone in it. Most of the popular pastors and church leaders are busy giving motivational speeches and entertaining the crowds like the days of Jeremiah. The humility regime, prophesied by TB Joshua, is going to start in the Church and amongst the Christians, in a long process. The world is already on its platform, un-repented, whilst the church is in disarray and disunity. Hence we pray for the move of the Holy Spirit for God’s quick intervention in the affairs of men.

Remember that Prophet TB Joshua declared the noise of coronavirus would be silenced by March 2020 – when the year of fear would come to an end “according to God’s timetable” – specifically mentioning the date 27th March. After studying the worldwide data regarding coronavirus patients, he pinpointed March 28th 2020 as the day “the cumulative growth curve” of coronavirus was broken – describing it as an unexplained “phenomenon of March 28th”. You can see all the graphs from his research showing the projected growth of the disease in nations around the world and how that curve was broken specifically on March 28th 2020 – to the glory of God. Indeed, no word from God is void of fulfilment!

 

BREAKING NEWS: THE WAY OUT FOR COVID-19!!!

QUESTION – TB Joshua, what can you say about the issue of coronavirus? Why are ministers of God not praying for coronavirus patients?

ANSWER – Coronavirus is an issue of the governments; its real origins have to do with mistakes in critical international research. Since their body language is understood, we have to give to Caesar what is Caesar’s (Matthew 22:21) – that is the position of ministers of God.

In today’s world, warfare is no longer about physical weapons; this is one of the silent but devastating weapons of the contemporary world.

During my last address on 5th April 2020 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YDYcLnTqpao), I mentioned that this was an error in advanced technology. It is all about error. That nature is involved can be no excuse, as this has led to the deaths of many innocent people all over the world. It is an attack on the nature of God – the air.

Thank God that nature is fighting back; nature is eliminating it in its own way. It is getting to its peak and is coming down. Naturally, it will go the way it came.

This is one of the things the Bible says will happen in the end time – perilous seasons when fear will rule the land. As I said, I see it as an error in advanced technology. In the nearest future, expect this kind of error – in retaliation. Let us pray to avert this.

In all, it is coming to an end!

Finally, ‘hardship virus’ is more dangerous than coronavirus. The presidents of the nations should open up the economy. The more we delay in opening up the economy, the more we will face a worse situation afterwards. Thank you. This is a prophetic message for the world.
