T.B. Joshua: Beauty of holiness, radiance of love

Happy 57th Birthday, Tb Joshua, SCOANBy Dare Adejumo

It is never a simple task to dissect a global spiritual personality such as Prophet T.B Joshua. You need to be in a higher etereal realm or be graciously given the grace to do so.

TB Joshua as fondly called is a prophet of God with uncommon Christian lifestyles.  Such a  being cannot but generate some controversies. By his divine gift and endowment, he operates on a higher pedestal with an incomprehensible yawning spiritual gap between him and his generation.

He is the known but unfathomable divine envoy on earth. He has remained an enigma, a gigantic puzzle, a bundle of God’s inexorable and inexplicable mysteries to which mankind must simply and humbly accept their limitations.

The most persecuted, the  most vilified, the most grossly misrepresented and disdainfully maligned  in his country of birth, TB Joshua has continued to pray for his adversaries like his Master, Jesus Christ: ‘Father, forgive them for they know not what they do’.

In today’s firmament when Christianity has become a mockery in many quarters, TB Joshua remains a shining light in darkness and has clearly shown to the world that  “by their fruits you shall know them”!

One incontrovertible great  fact is that The fate of TBJoshua cannot be different from his divine predecessors especially His Master Jesus Christ who out of  spiritual blindness, rigidity, ignorance, crude envy, fear and unbridled jealousy was maliciously crucified in the most excruciating and agonizing manner by the same people believed to be most respectable religious authority of his time. What an irony!

TB Joshua must necessarily drink of that  cup and joyfully too because of the grace of his Father.

There is something extraordinarily peculiar to TB Joshua. This is the UNCONDITIONAL  LOVE he radiates like the soothing moonshine in the sky. He cannot be offended. As a human being I doubt if he can allow any offence with him for five minutes.

It is love without discrimination and this is reflected in his joyful superlative giving, charity, activities and humanitarian and selfless services.

Unlike some other churches where you will be turned back if not in compliance with their physical and religious appearance standard, TB Joshua is home to everyone. Whether you are a Muslim, pagan, occult groups, lesbian, gay, idol worshippers just name any, TB Joshua is a friend to all.

“ I am interested in the salvation of their souls. Jesus does not hate sinners what he hates is sin. If Jesus came for the salvation of sinners who am I not to welcome sinners in love and bring them to knowing Jesus Christ my Master and our saviour”? He would enthusiastically appear publicly with them like one who has just found a new lover. I could remember when a group of herdsmen in their rusticity visited him. He welcomed them like VIP, sat along with them and even collected their traditional caravan gourd which they all usually put their mouths in to drink water to also use the same thing to drink the water inside with them!

Because of human spiritual banality and pedestrianism, TB Joshua has oftentimes been maligned with outright chimerical tales and concocted lies by his superficial observers who could not decipher the Spirit of the Father working in him.

“I must necessarily experience all these. Who would I then resemble? Rejoice because every temptation and every situation is meant to draw you closer to God if you have been called by Him and maintain your focus, He would continue to strengthen you because God would never forsake His own”.

To talk of TB Joshua’s God’s endowed towering spiritual power in him is like dipping a cup into the sea to fetch water. The power radiates as he walks or talks with countless diverse healings and miracles beyond human imagination. There was one occasion when armed robbers waving fiery guns and shooting sporadically were operating in the upper street during the church service. The suffocating miasma of their operations extended to the church area. In holy anger TB Joshua fiercely came out of the service  to confront them and collected their guns from them! The armed robbers were reduced to vegetables by the TBJoshua’s superb Holy Spirit power. It is not surprising to find Ogbonis, witch doctors, idol worshippers, psychists, Hindus, just name them – all forms of esoteric practitioners, confessing their sins and  surrendering their satanic  instruments by the fire of Holy Spirit engulfing them and accepting Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior in Synagogue Church Of All Nations SCOAN through the God’s nature in TB Joshua.

Nothing is done in secret in SCOAN. Everything is open and transparent. It is not a place of spiritual manipulation. Any wonder then that foreigners are trooping into SCOAN in droves and the church has to be overwhelmingly checkmating requests of intending pligrims  and yet countless others will find their ways to Nigeria through back doors thus causing a lot of embarrassment in the enviroment beyond the church expectations.

“It is not everybody that can come here” says the Man of God. “Only those God calls will come here”.

TB Joshua is humility personified. Ordinarily he is very shy. He is indeed the biblical  broken vessel in the hands of God.

TB Joshua has made the physiognomy of Christianity real and Jesus and His mission on earth clearer with discernible understanding of that narrow path to the Luminous Heights.

One of the most shockingly admirable things in TB Joshua’s life is his in-depth knowledge of Bible and the words of God. Here is a person who never went to theological school, mentored by anyone or really educated in the real western sense. Yet he is a teacher of teachers with strikingly penetrating power into your spirit. He opens your  eyes and hearts at every teaching with profound  spiritual transformation for eternal yearnings in the listeners! It is usually a moment of spiritual rediscovery. You cannot ignore his messages. Simple, nonoratorical or colourfully/attractively presented, it carries fire and power with uncommon insight and revelations.

You cannot be going to SCOAN and be engaging in sinful lives. TB Joshua will see all you are hiding secretly in your house or any immorality you are  committing which you think has been successfully covered. He would compromise indiscipline and immorality. He is stern and firm!

I have severally witnessed instances where such members are called out except he doesn’t come across you.

“In this church, you are coming here and you are still living in this sin”? Whatever is saying is confirmed, no quibbling or mincing words  as such sinners will immediately fall down crying to Jesus narrating the circumstances that led him or her to it asking for God’s forgiveness. You will be shocked when he exposes all the details of what you did!

SCOAN is not a place for ‘bigmanism’. Whatever you are from outside cannot be carried inside the church. You must be humbled! Have you ever seen where a big man or woman is asked to go and join sanitation group where they do cleaning or  what you can regard as menial jobs? Yes, TBJoshua would tell you: ‘go and join them, God will hear your prayers’. In most instances it is like the case of that  army General Naman the leper in the Bible who in arrogance felt how could he go and wash in a particular river directed him to go by the prophet when there were other better rivers he could go. But the grace of God saved him by listening to his servant and eventually was made whole as he washed himself in the very river.

One crucial lesson you learn from TB Joshua regarding prayers and fastings is that when they are not done on the precious arms of the Holy Spirit it is a balderdash. “ You can pray and preach wonderfully. Once you have not been adopted by Holy Spirit, people may hear you and even clap for you but God will not hear you. You can call yourself born again but as long as you are not adopted by Holy Spirit you are simply wasting your time”.

He has made worshippers in his church realise that your faith must be genuine, your meditation in God’s Word and making it the standard practice in their lives as NOT NEGOTIABLE for their Christian lives not be a failure and for them to have rewarding faith. To live in pure love to all your neighbors regardless of their religion or who they are, holding no  offence against anyone and be a blessing to others for you are blessed to bless otherd. “O Lord give me love enough not to see the mistakes of others” is  one of the prayers

Hear the Prophet:

“God cannot entrust you with His power if you do not have UNCONDITIONAL LOVE. This is because you will begin to use it for the benefits of those you want and then against your enemies. Look at this church, can you see any member of my family holding any positions? It’s God’s church and He knows what to do even when I am no more”!

TB Joshua is not competing with anyone. He has no faculty for looking into the affairs of any other churches or what anyone is doing or saying anywhere. His focus is on God. His only pain is the disunity in the church of Christ.

On several occasions when people from other churches received landmark healings and miracles he won’t allow them to do any Thanksgiving in SCOAN. He would tell them: “go back to your church and do the Thanksgiving there. We are working as a team. It is the prayers you have been praying in your church that also brought you here. Go and remain in your church and be worshipping there”.

That is TB Joshua for you. He is the embodiment of Jesus  Christ himself. In SCOAN no soliciting for fundraising, sowing seeds, donations or Thanksgiving. Even payment of tithes  or offering is completely voluntary. “Take your tithes or Thanksgiving money to the needy; look for  poor pupils to give scholarship; look for the sick and all others you see in hardship to help. When you do that God will hear your prayers”.

Hear him again:

“Have you ever seen me printing envelopes here asking for donations? No! When God truly  give you an assignments He would also put in the hearts of those that would assist you on the assignments”.

Today TB Joshua has brought back the early church of the apostles with Christian revival for a better understanding of worshippers to worship God in truth and in Spirit.

Speaking with a spiritual  elder who prefers anonymity, he said: “There is no other person like him today in the entire world. It’s usually one at a time. He is on God mission but unfortunately God’s design did not permit many who ought to know from recognizing him. Do you think if he is fully recognized in Nigeria there will be any space in Nigeria for other people in the world to come?

Hear him: “You can see he is not establishing branches like others. He has kept absolutely to God’s directives and agenda and not to human opinions.

“God really loves TB Joshua. Some did not know that it was out of God concern for him to fulfill his mission that his last prophecy on American election did not  click. If it had clicked there’s every tendency for some people to turn him to God which will affect him. God has brought him for the rise and fall of many. I only pity those in ignorance of his origin and are using their mouths unconsciously to  jeopardize their own eternity”.

A PROPHET IN OUR MIDST

Happy 57th Birthday, Tb Joshua, SCOANWhat a chosen generation we are and what a glorious God we serve. By whom the bountifulness of His Mercy and Grace has made us a witness to the reign of His humble Servant, Senior Prophet T.B. Joshua. Through whom He has continued to demonstrate the evidence of His Love, Grace, Power and Sovereignty overall.

Blessed be the Name of Our Lord, who has chosen us – this generation – the offspring of Abraham to witness this uncommon time.

What a glorious era we live in. The period when the Prophet reigns and dwells amongst us.

He was chosen not of man, but by God to stand in the gap for this faithless generation. Favoured with a direct channel to God and bestow with the Graced to see deep into His plans and bring it to our hearing.

What an uncommon phenomenon of God’s power! An era when the power of God is so visible amongst men. The unbelievers are in awe and even the sceptics are saying, this must be the hand of God. For they could witness the blind, sees, the demon possesses, delivered, the sick, heal and the broken-hearted, restored.

What can be said of His Mother…? Blessed be the womb that incubates him and the breast in whose milk his infancy was nourished. Through her, a Prophet came into this world. That alone is a precious destiny.

In the fullness of Grace and Purity of heart, the Prophet has continued to seek peace for all men. Despite, the hate, persecution, intimidations and attempts assassination on his dear life.

The wicked establishments of this world, whom out of the stubbornness of their heart, has turned their back against Christ – the Purest Light of Truth, Holiness and Righteousness and they have conspired amongst themselves to see to the Prophet end due to their continual quest for the vanity of this failing world.

Just as the Lord said to Isaiah: “……. (They) ‘Keep on hearing, but do not understand; keep on seeing, but do not perceive.’ – Isaiah 6: 9.

Evil men have never meant well for humanity. For they conceive bad thoughts and connived evil amongst themselves to turn-off the Light that lightens this present dark world and silences the voice that speaks truth to their conscience. Because they are possessed to hate the Purest Light – the light of the true knowledge that supersedes all understanding and imaginations.

Regardless of their rebellion against the Light of truth in Christ Jesus, their repentance the Prophet longed for. For he was sent to this world for redemption – liberty and freedom, in continuation of his master’s Business – the Holy Spirit.

Can a servant be greater than his Master? – Mathew 10:24.

Even the Son of Man (Christ), who lay down His life for the redemption of the world suffer persecution in the hands of evildoers. He was crucified and hung on the cross like a common criminal. If his Master could be condemned by the world, what about the servant that represent Him in Truth and Spirit. This is his destiny and there is nothing we can do about it. For this same purpose, the Prophet was born, and the same purpose he will live to die. As the Prophet will always say: “Anything close to Jesus Christ receives attack”.

Finally, we join millions all over the world to celebrate our dear/humble Prophet. Happy Birthday!! Man of God. We pray that God’s divine purpose that brought you into this world will be fulfilled to the finished and never be cut-short in Jesus’ Name…? Amen!!

HOW GOD WANTS US TO MARK MY 57TH BIRTHDAY – TB JOSHUA

Happy 57th Birthday, Tb Joshua, SCOANOn Friday, June 12th 2020, Prophet TB Joshua will turn 57 years old! Here is an important message (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bVgf3jeCdIY) on how God wants us to mark this occasion:

“Viewers all over the world, good morning and win today! Happy 57th birthday – June 12th. Birthdays are a time to reflect on the memories of yesterday, the joys of today and the dreams of tomorrow. Viewers, I want to thank you for your prayers and your love.

Many waters cannot quench love. Viewers, what does this love I am talking about look like?
➡️ Love that has feet to move to the needy, to move to the sick ones, to move to the hungry ones.
➡️ Love that has hands to help others without expectation.
➡️ Love that has eyes to see misery and want.
➡️ Love that has ears to hear the sighs and sorrows of men.

Happy Birthday, my friends! The only way to have a friend is to be one.
⭐ Many T.B. Joshuas are orphans. Let us father them.
⭐ Many T.B. Joshuas are homeless. Let us shelter them.
⭐ Many T.B. Joshuas are sick. Let us care for them.
⭐ Many T.B. Joshuas are lonely. Let us be their companion.

My friends, let the feelings of others matter to us. ‘Will these children not go to school? How can these people be lonely and homeless?’ There are many sick ones, hungry people, widows and orphans in our communities. Let us care for them.

Let me leave you with this word of exhortation. Matthew 25:40 – “And the king will tell them, ‘I assure you when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!’ ” Viewers, what does this mean? Whatsoever you do to the least one, that you do to God. Happy birthday!

Let us pray. Viewers, by the authority of the Scripture, I proclaim a mighty blessing upon your life! I proclaim a mighty blessing upon your now! I proclaim a mighty blessing upon your future! In Jesus Christ’s name, we pray. Amen!

Lord Jesus, as we celebrate according to Your instruction, give us the vision we should have for our lives. Give us the faith and the courage to dream big, in Jesus Christ’s name. Amen! Happy Birthday!” – TB Joshua

TB Joshua at 57 – God’s Grace is Enough for His Prophet

tb joshua, scoan, emmanuel tv

Prophet TB Joshua

Prophet TB Joshua of the Synagogue, Church of All Nations (SCOAN), is a remarkable man. I think that every one of us who have met him on any occasion is always inspired and challenged by his life. He carries grace, humility, simplicity and love. He was born in Arigidi Akoko, a remote part of the present Ondo State of Nigeria at a time that part of the country was in the Western Region Nigeria. He was to be known, not because he has rich and famous parents, or because of some academic achievement in science, but because of what he has been able to single-handedly achieve in human restoration and reformation through faith in Christ. The average life expectancy in Nigeria (before COVID-19 set in to further reduce it) is between 53 and 54 years. Hence TB Joshua at 58 has lived above the average age of people of his country, despite his arduous missionary work confronted by opposition from multiple directions, visible and invisible. It has only been possible by God’s grace protecting him; Congratulations for a Happy Birthday with all our Best Wishes to you and your lovely family.

At age 58 God might still not have answered all the prayers of Prophet TB Joshua in the way that he might have hoped but we know that God has used him to reach people in many communities, prisons, orphanages, hospitals and many nations. He had laid hands or hugged thousands of people across the globe in the process of ministration, praying and setting them free from the grip and shackles of Satan. God overlooked any limitations of our prophet and invested him with the ability to uplift hearts and encourage people’s spirits. They got up from wheelchairs, threw away walking sticks, the blind seeing, deaf hearing, all saying “Thank You, Jesus, Thank You, Jesus”.

It has been the grace of God upholding the man of God whilst the entire society remains only carnal, saying things they ought not. Unfortunately, there exists amongst the various sects envying, strife, divisions, and many so-called men of God but living and walking as natural men. While some groups say they are of Paul, others say they are of Apollos. But neither is he that plants nor he that waters anything, but God that gives the increase, (1 Corinthians 3:3-7). Prophet TB Joshua has been teaching on Church unity rather than campaigning against others. Though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh and the weapons of our warfare carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds; Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalted itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. Do you look on things after the outward appearance? If any man trust to himself that he is Christ’s, let him of himself think this again, that, as he is Christ’s, even so, are we Christ’s. (2 Corinthians 10:3-7). It is the mighty grace of God that is protecting every true man of God.

The people of God depend on the grace of God. Mother Teresa wrote, “I don’t think there is anyone who needs God’s help and grace as much as I do. Sometimes I feel so helpless and weak. I think that is why God uses me. Because I cannot depend on my strength, I rely on Him twenty-four hours a day. If the day had even more hours, then I would need His help and grace during those as well.” Similarly, Apostle Paul expressed this dependence when he wrote about the thorn in his flesh. Three times he pleaded with the Lord to take it away. But God said to him, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness”,(2 Corinthians 12:9). His grace is not only amazing, it is “sufficient”. It is enough. Prophet TB Joshua also said that “we need God to sit, to stand, to take each step, etc”. Our prayer is Psalms 90:12, “So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom”.

Happy 57th Birthday to Prophet TB Joshua, the man at the Synagogue, Church of All Nations. Emmanuel.

Prof. R. A. Ipinyomi, University of Ilorin, Nigeria

The Man In The Synagogue At 56

TB Joshua and wife

General Overseer, Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), owners of Emmanuel TV Team, Prophet TB Joshua and wife, Evelyn

One of the hallmarks of truly great men and women is their ability to shine beyond the estimation of their adversaries, even in the most difficult of situations.

The distinguishing factor for such people is that even when they seem to fall, they get even stronger in spirit and never fail to forge ahead

From infancy the traits of greatness are always very clear to see in such people for those who can truly perceive.

For such people, a clear vision, dedication, commitment, hard work and an unwavering commitment to God is a defining virtue. It does not really matter what their background may look like, the unique goal they have set for themselves is always the driving force.

For those who God has obviously created for a mission and are able to realize that early enough, the grace to excel is ever present.

Indeed, for Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua, popularly called T.B. Joshua, his life and impact on humanity could be likened to great book, each with an interesting chapter. This is in view of the fact that this great man of God is many things personified-apostle of our Lord, Jesus Christ, hope to millions of hopeless people globally, teacher, chorister, philanthropist, author, father of millions, hope personified, succor bearer, friend of the poor, a gift to this generation and more.

His church, Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) singularly brought Ikotun-Egbe once considered a jungle to prominence on the world map due to its impact on that neighbourhood.

This is because it’s coming to that environment was such that the big and mighty across the globe started trooping to that axis for spiritual healing.

With this came a major boom for the economy of Ikotun and its environs as millions of businesses sprang up to key into the great opportunity.

Hotel and allied business received a major boost, earning millions of dollars due to large numbers of foreign visitors trooping into Nigeria from across the world.

It was not for nothing therefore when hoteliers shouted from the roof tops that government should save their businesses when some people tried to take advantage of the controversial building collapse at the church to pull down TB. Joshua. This is instructive. SCOAN, Joshua’s church is on record as “Nigeria’s biggest tourist attraction and the most visited destination by tourists in Africa”.

The Federal Government had in the recent past through the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) acknowledged that six out of every ten foreign travelers coming into Nigeria are synagogue-bound, raking millions of dollars into government coffers in the process. Using technology which has made his job very impactful, Joshua has continued to reach all the nooks and crannies of the world like never before.

His church’s television channel, Emmanuel T.V, through which he preaches undiluted word of God is the world’s most viewed channel on YouTube.

One of the striking things about this great preacher of the word is that, not only does he emphasize holiness, he is never tired of preaching about the importance of love and giving, which he says are essential messages of Jesus Christ.

He even takes it further by practical demonstration, which is exemplified in action from time to time in different parts of the world.

Even Joshua’s critics acknowledge that he has no doubt demonstrated that he is number one friend of the poor around this clime. From the abundance that God has given him, the Prophet has reached out to millions of people from far and near, most of whom are not members of his church.

He has even taken it further by making his members toe the same line of giving to the needy in the society.

According to him, this was a major message of our Lord Jesus Christ and needed to be done to give hope to hopeless in the society.

Aside this, Joshua continually teaches that there is love in sharing because whatever God has given us does not belong to us alone.

It is therefore not surprising that SCOAN distributes lorry loads of food stuffs regularly to the needy in different parts of the country.

Though he has his own share of challenges like every human being, this great televangelist is a man not ready to be consumed by negatives. This he clearly demonstrated as a child with what seemed like a hopeless future.

However, his strong conviction which was sharpened by his early connection with the Bible opened his eyes to the words of God and marked a major mile stone in his life.

This no doubt is one of the things that confounds his detractors as they never fail to wonder where he gets the strength to rise when they think he has fallen.

Even Forbes, the famous international magazine had in 2011 described Joshua as third richest pastor in Nigeria, though the church did well by debunking the report.

The magazine must have relied on the Prophet’s philanthropic activities which covers many areas including scholarship, health, sports and more as the basis for this. For instance, Joshua’s church was reported to have sponsored a Nigerian student for a PhD at Oxford University in 2012 to the tune of one hundred thousand pounds, same for thousands of others sponsored from primary to university levels, locally and internationally.

This was aside providing over five hundred thousand dollars worth of humanitarian aid to victims of earthquake in Ecuador in April, 2016. The Forbes report however has its positive side as the report suggests that Joshua has a huge financial war chest. The truth of it all is that Forbes was only acknowledging that Joshua was expending so much in an assignment he is carrying out so diligently.

Other widely respected international magazines have also named him among the world’s most influential personalities.

However, it is a thing of joy that nobody has linked him with purchasing private jets and needless show of wealth in a nation so blessed, but with so many poor people. Also, he has not claimed to be far more popular than anyone, though the local and international media will not let him rest because of his ever-growing popularity.

Curiously, this is a man who rarely travels out of Nigeria to other parts of the world, yet has his presence felt in far distant places and loved by many who have never come across him, thanks to technology.

Even though his Arigidi-Akoko birth place may not feel his physical presence, but the people take pride in his touching their lives through regular support over the years through infrastructural support.

T.B. Joshua’s story is that of grass to grace and his people are excited that he is making them proud around the world, a feat for which they cannot but thank God.  Indeed, what the T.B. Joshua story teaches us are multi-faceted.

First, his life teaches us that God is the ultimate decider of our fate and in Him we must put our hopes and aspirations. Even Joshua practically demonstrated this by getting closer to God, using the Bible as a compass to navigate his future at a tender age.

Secondly, when God elevated him, he remained level-headed and demonstrated practical teachings of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Thirdly and most importantly, he has raised and is still raising leaders of the word to join others in raising Godly men to the glory of God and benefit of mankind. As he celebrates yet another milestone, on June 12, 2019, here is wishing the man in the Synagogue, Prophet T.B. Joshua, a happy birthday.

The relationship between the Tanzanian leader and the Nigerian pastor goes back several years.

In 2011, Magufuli visited Joshua in Nigeria long before his ascendency to power, his son later testifying to being healed from a severe asthmatic condition on the trip.

The influential cleric then visited Tanzania in the aftermath of the 2015 elections, playing a reconciliatory role between Magufuli and opposition leader Edward Lowassa.

Since assuming power, Magufuli – known as the ‘Bulldozer’ – has garnered international attention for his dogged crackdown on corruption in the East African nation, winning several global awards in the process.

Tanzanian blogger ‘Millard Ayo’, who has one million subscribers on his YouTube channel, equally posted a video reporting Magufuli’s birthday message to T.B. Joshua and pictures of his visit to Tanzania in November 2015.

Nigerian politicians should learn from T.B Joshua, says CD

tb joshua scoan

Prophet T.B. Joshua

…as group urges him not to relocate to Israel

General Secretary of the Campaign for Democracy, Evangelist Ifeanyi Odili, has tasked politicians in the country to borrow a leaf from the founder of the Synagogue Church of all Nations, Prophet T.B. Joshua, who as a cleric, has touched the lives of the common people more than any politician has ever done.

Odili, in a statement issued in Akure, Ondo State, to congratulate Joshua who turns 55 on June 12, said the man of God is a living example of the ideal Christian, as he is not given to vain words or undue material acquisition to the neglect of the suffering masses.

Applauding Joshua, the CD general secretary said, “As a pro-democracy activist and evangelist of the Christ Apostolic Church, who is based here in Akure, I have taken time to study the lifestyle of Pastor T.B. Joshua and all his propagations and I have come to the conclusion that our politicians need to simply emulate him for Nigeria to advance.

“They should borrow a leaf, and even, many leaves from his humility, candour and fervency in the propagation of what he believes in, which is the gospel of Christ. As an indigene of Ondo State, who is based in Lagos, he has not neglected his home as he keeps empowering jobless youths and setting up various platforms for them to realise their dreams.

“He is not given to vain words and undue acquisition of material wealth to the detriment of the suffering masses. Initially, I thought his humanitarian gestures were limited to his home-state until I visited the Synagogue Church of All Nations in Lagos and found out that for him, humanitarian service is a daily obligation.”

The activist, however, appealed to T.B. Joshua not to fully relocate to Israel as proposed, noting that the Nigerian society is enough task for him, and that only few of his type exist among men of God in the country.

“I believe the man of God can extend his activities to Israel as he is mandated to spread the gospel to all parts of the world, but he should not relocate completely from Nigeria, as this decadent society needs his type to shape public morality and encourage social service. For me, the type of T.B Joshua are very, very few in Nigeria,” Odili stressed.

Born on June 12, 1963 in Arigidi-Akoko, Ondo State, Joshua reportedly spent 15 months in his mother’s womb. He attended St. Stephens’ Anglican Primary School, Arigidi-Akoko, but failed to complete secondary school owing to poverty. While in primary school, he was referred to as ‘the small pastor’ as he led evangelical activities.
