CLOSE THE DOOR OF WEAKNESS
You are what you are because of your weakness. It is an entrance to satan. Let us close that door. The Bible says that no one can keep every commandment but as we strive to, we grow. We grow everyday as we block our weaknesses.
Your character is God in you. If you don’t want satan to enslave you, work on your character. As from today, don’t say, “God, bless me”, “God, save me from the situation I am in” – pray against your weakness.
Go straight to pray against your weakness because satan uses our weakness to enter us. If you close that place, no more satan. Your situation is not your enemy; your weakness is your enemy. Whatever situation you are in is not your enemy because it makes you to see the need of God. Therefore, when weakness strikes, draw closer to God; don’t run from God because of weakness.
In our struggle against weakness, remember that we are not perfect but we can strive towards perfection because we have perfection by our side – Jesus Christ (Matthew 5:48).

SPRING FROM FAITH
In Mark 11:22, Jesus did not say, ‘If you encounter a situation or problem, pray it might be removed or it might be cast out.’ He said, “Have faith in God and then shout aloud to the mountain, ‘Be removed!’”
Today, we pray but lack the necessary faith to release the belief in our heart. If you are praying and the prayer does not spring from faith, you are wasting your time – you are making noise; you are talking to the air. You will hear yourself and people around you will hear you but God will not hear you, if it does not spring from faith.
Faith requires us to speak the Word before we have it, before we receive it or we see them. One is rewarded when one talks in faith. One is healed when one talks in faith. One is blessed when one talks in faith. One is delivered when one talks in faith. Faith counts in whatever you do. Speak faith and receive your reward today, in Jesus’ name.
PRAYER: Open my heart and mouth to Your Spirit, Your Word and Your faith, in Jesus’ name!

HE WHO MAKES MEN GREAT
1 Chronicles 29:11-12, “Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendour, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, O LORD, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all. Wealth and honor come from you; you are the ruler of all things. In your hands are strength and power to exalt and give strength to all.”
If anyone is great among men, it is God’s hand that made them so. The best man in the world can only maintain his integrity as long as God upholds him in it. God has ordered all so that the whole should appear to be of grace. We should acknowledge God in all spiritual things – every good thought, word and purpose to His grace from whom we received it. The most important thing about Christianity is not what we do or receive from God but the relationship we maintain with Him and the atmosphere produced by that relationship. Riches and glory come from God.
PRAYER: Father, God, we acknowledge You as our only Saviour, Healer, Deliverer, Comforter, Rescuer and Redeemer. Do it again and again and again in our lives, in Jesus’ name.

WE ARE FREE MORAL AGENTS
One of the greatest gifts God has given us is the freedom to make decisions. We are free moral agents with the mind and ability to choose between right and wrong. We can choose to walk away from wrong opportunities; we can also choose to embrace them. Remember, you can blame circumstances or conditions beyond your control but ultimately, you are responsible for what you give your attention to. All of us who have fallen made a decision. All of us who have not fallen faced similar temptations but made a different decision.
If you rely on the strength that comes from Jesus Christ, He will not allow the enemy of your soul to give you more than you can take (1 Corinthians 10:13). You can choose to let the One who created you help you with all that you do by building your relationship with Him. When you have a relationship with Jesus Christ, you change and become a man who is directed by your Heavenly Father, not by the influence from others (John 1:12-13).
PRAYER: In the moment of decision, ask God for the inner grace to choose as Christ would have chosen.
BETWEEN A ROCK AND A HARD PLACE
“We glory in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance, perseverance produces character and character, hope.” Romans 5:3-4
That you face challenges does not mean you are not a friend of God. David never questioned why a giant challenged his future – he simply ran to represent God on the battlefield. That you find yourself between a rock and a hard place does not mean you are not a candidate of Heaven. Stephen never questioned why stones were being hurled – he stood and resembled God in all He stands for. That you face an enemy as close as your mouth does not mean you are not a favourite of Heaven. Job never fainted when a wind pulled down his home – he continued to think, talk, act, plan, work and rule with God.
Every man that walks by faith will have testing. Those afflictions or whatever you call them are for our spiritual benefit so we will learn to pray the more, trust God the more, depend on God the more, have faith in God the more. As Romans 5:3-4 says, we glory in our tribulations, knowing that we become who we are, discover what we know and receive strength of character through testing. Take courage: you are called by the Most High God – soldier on!
Prayer: Oh Holy Spirit, give me the grace to be strong, active and alert in this realm of prayer service, in Jesus’ name.

THE GREATEST EMBARRASSMENT
EPHESIANS 6:10 – “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.”
Life is a warfare, this is the battle of the ages. Remember, it is not a playground or a bonding meeting, it is a battlefield where only the serious-minded are victorious. Who are we fighting? We are not fighting flesh and blood but the evil spirits that cause tension and pressure in our lives. The best way to fight satan is to completely ignore his existence. What he wants more than anything is for you to be recognizing him all the time. When you are under attack, when you are sensing demonic influence in your everyday life, begin to pray harder and intensify your meditation. The greatest embarrassment you can give to satan is to ignore his existence.
When you ignore him, he will continue to make noise but keep in mind, he is under your foot because you with God are more than majority. In Luke 10:19, we understand that all authority in Heaven and on earth has been given to us as His children. When you step into the believer’s authority, you can boldly tell the enemy to get behind you because you have the name of Jesus Christ at your command.
Today, whatever situation you experience, remember that satan will try to disorganize you but choose not to give him any attention. When he reminds you of your past, just remind him of his future. Jesus is Lord!
Prayer: God, manifest your strength in my weakness. I am not strong but I have Strength by my side. Take more of me and give me more of You, Lord.

DOUBT NO MORE
God has given everyone plenty of evidence to believe in Him. Doubt comes when you fail to stop long enough to observe all the evidence. Whenever you are struggling with doubt, take time to remember the way God has worked in your life. As you recall God’s track record, you will grow confident that He will work in your present situation as well, that He will never fail you, nor abandon you and that your situation is not like others’ but for the glory of God. When you count your blessings, your doubts will fly away.
Be patient; let God answer your question on His schedule, not yours (Ecclesiastes 3:1). Don’t throw away your faith just because God does not resolve your doubt immediately. When you are wrestling with doubt, keep attending church and stay close to other Christians. Resist the temptation to isolate yourself because doubt feeds on loneliness. As you move closer to God, you will find the strength to trust Him and your faith will grow even stronger.

IDENTIFY YOUR SOURCE
1 CORINTHIANS 10:13 – “No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.”
In this world of distraction, it is very easy get off track and lose our focus. What situation are you facing right now that draws your attention off your Creator? It may be hardship and difficulty or it may be success and prosperity. The Bible says that we must keep our focus by identifying our source. As Christians, the battle the Bible talks about in Galatians 5:16-22 is the battle of our minds, the battle of choosing between right and wrong. Your focus is your personal decision. You can complain, you can blame others but you are responsible for what you give your attention to. What are the things that can make you lose focus? It is those foolish things that cause tension and pressure. No matter what was going on in Jesus’ life, He kept His focus. When you know where you are going, whatever happens to you midway cannot change your focus.
The situation with you now on the outside may be poor, painful, frightening and discouraging but remember your dream – that dream should be your focus, not your present situation.
PRAYER: Lord Jesus, give me the grace to identify You as my source and keep focused on my mission in Jesus’ name.
Mark 11:25, “And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.”
You must always remember that you are a sinner saved by grace. It is the will of God for you to remember that you sinned and have been forgiven. For it is that remembrance that creates a loving, helpful and compassionate heart in you towards others. Forgiveness is not based on the magnitude of the sin but on the magnitude of the Father’s love. Jesus never bothered how grievous your sins were when He said, “Father forgive them”.
In mercy, we are not excluded. It is always unreasonable to forgive your enemy until you realise that you were once an enemy of God until He forgave you. It is this remembrance that creates love, compassion and helpfulness in your heart. Until that forgiveness is voiced and received, we should not pray because if we are not forgiving, the power of faith is short-circuited. Thus, it was Jesus’ great design to engage all His followers to love and forgive. As you read this, begin to remember, who you need to forgive today. Anywhere you are, as you have forgiven those who sin against you, get ready for your forgiveness to be voiced and received in the cleansing power of the blood of Jesus Christ by faith.
PRAYER: Forgive me, Oh Lord; I will be forgiven, in Jesus’ name.
