The Second Anniversary Of Prophet TB Joshua’s Passing: “The TB Joshua I Knew”

Prophet TB Joshua, Spirituality, Inspiration, Faith, Legacy

It is always spiritually uplifting whenever I reminisce about Prophet TB Joshua. Those who were unfamiliar with him or chose not to get to know him, yet found solace in speaking negatively about him, were unequivocally mistaken. And they remain mistaken to this day.

I had the privilege of meeting him on several occasions, each time in close proximity, one-on-one. Arigidi Akoko is also our shared community, which made it even more exceptional to have met him and to have been entrusted with various responsibilities concerning the children.

The Prophet TB Joshua I knew was:

  1. A devoted family man, deeply loving and compassionate, unreservedly generous, a true Nigerian, and a quintessential African man.
  2. A faithful preacher of the true and complete Word of God. He lived the Word of God, exemplified it, and demonstrated that God is as close to us as our very breath. He was a man of fasting and prayer, teaching and expounding on the concept of unceasing prayer.
  3. A man of peace who refused to hold onto offense. He preached and instructed his followers, disciples, and viewers that harboring offense could impede their access to the throne of grace.
  4. A man who came to nurture the vineyard of God. All his teachings, healings, prophecies, and deliverances were performed in the name of Jesus, using the Word of God. TB Joshua did not seek to establish a new foundation but to build upon the foundation already laid by Jesus Christ.
  5. An evangelist of the Word. During one meeting, he summoned me and introduced me to a group that had attended the same gathering. This group hailed from SCOAN Lokoja, Kogi State. SCOAN Lokoja, which still exists, was among his earliest ministries until he settled in Lagos. The group requested his personal attention and regular visits, and he responded by sending his evangelists periodically. My specific assignment was to evaluate the place and provide a report. Prophet TB Joshua maintained satellite stations worldwide for his ministry, and we must now support our new leader, Pastor Evelyn Joshua, in this evangelistic endeavor.

Therefore, as we commemorate the second anniversary of Prophet TB Joshua’s passing, let us not forget his love and his pragmatic approach to the philosophy of evangelizing the world by “changing people and changing the world.” While Prophet TB Joshua may have departed from us physically, he has left behind a profound and impactful ministry that will engage us until the return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17). When we gaze at the sky on that day, Temitope Balogun Joshua will be soaring to meet the Lord. It is our responsibility to ensure that we are also there in the sky, ready to meet the Lord Jesus.

We join our voices in proclaiming to the righteous, “It shall be well with you. You shall eat the fruit of your actions” (Isaiah 3:10). The Lord will always deliver the righteous from every trouble (Proverbs 11:8), in the mighty name of Jesus.

“Help, Lord, for the godly man ceases to be, for the faithful disappear from among the sons of men” (Proverbs 11:8).

A LIFE WELL SPENT! – The Second Anniversary Of TB Joshua

TB Joshua, The SCOAN, Emmanuel TV

Today, as we commemorate the second anniversary of the passing of the great Prophet of God, Prophet T. B. Joshua, we reflect upon the profound impact this remarkable individual has had on our lives and the world at large. It is a time to honour the teachings, wisdom, and compassion that defined the life of this extraordinary Prophet and to carry forward the torch of his divine legacy.

The Prophet’s life was a proof of power of faith, humility, and love. He served God as a guiding light, illuminating the path to righteousness and inspiring countless souls to live a life of virtue and devotion. His words continue to resonate with timeless wisdom, providing comfort to the weary and guidance to the lost. His message of peace and compassion continue to remain as relevant today as it was during his earthly life.

As we honor the Prophet’s memory, let us also express our gratitude for the blessings he brought into our lives. His teachings have provided consolation during times of hardship, guidance during moments of doubt, and hope when all seemed lost. May we always cherish the invaluable lessons we have learned from him and share his wisdom with future generations.

Where is Prophet TB Joshua Right Now?

Prophet TB Joshua (June 12, 1963 – June 5, 2021)

A friend came in and saw my TV still tuned to Emmanuel.TV as usual. As we watched a live Sunday service together he asked, “Where do you think Prophet TB Joshua is now?” This is a big and essential question—many people watching Emmanuel.TV, followers of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, SCOAN, Emmanuel partners, every disciple of Jesus, or all of us desire to know what happens to a true believer of Jesus Christ such as Prophet TB Joshua, the Founder SCOAN and late Husband of the present leader Mama Evelyn Joshua.

If the question has been “Where is Jesus Now?” the answer is straightforward for Bible students. Because we know that Jesus is at the right hand of God in heaven as well as everywhere else. Jesus is also in the heart of each believer. Jesus is coming back again. Jesus is omnipresent as God and He is present in believers. Jesus is everywhere.

Nevertheless, Ephesians (2:4-8) is very relevant to believers, concerning our place in Jesus Christ, now or hereafter. We are on earth right now, but Ephesians 2:6 says that we are seated in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus. That is by faith, every believer is united to Christ who sits in heaven, even though physically, we’re still here right now. Whoever is united with the Lord Jesus is one with Him in spirit, (1 Corinthians 6:17,19). And we are also the temples of the Holy Spirit with Jesus dwelling in us.

Hence it is a true saying that Prophet TB Joshua is with Jesus Christ in heaven right now. The work of God ongoing in SCOAN right now, after TB Joshua has left, is still being performed by the same Jesus Christ dwelling in Evelyn Joshua, and in everyone who believes in Jesus Christ. We are delighted that Evelyn Joshua, also often called Mama Serah, is a Daughter of Encouragement and carrying on in faith. But her husband is with Jesus Christ. Christians don’t become angels when they die in Christ. Jesus has enough angels but He is still working so that everyone will believe and be redeemed to fit the heavenly purpose.

Therefore let everyone learn from the parable of the  Rich Man and Lazarus said by Jesus in Luke (16:19-31). Lazarus died and the angels carried him to Abraham’s side. The rich man also died and was buried; in Hades, where he was in torment. Prophet TB Joshua has run his own race and if anyone has refused to listen to him as God’s messenger, they will still not listen if God sends him back from the dead. We are to believe and pray along. God’s presence, which is greater than we can imagine, is also in SCOAN Arena; and we can’t deny that for Prophet TB Joshua’s labour of love.

BOTHER CHRIS TRIBUTE TO PROPHET TB JOSHUA

TB Joshua, Brother Chris, Godshearttv, tribute

MY TRIBUTE TO PROPHET TB JOSHUA – BROTHER CHRIS

A famous poet once wrote:
“Lives of great men all remind us
We can make our lives sublime,
And, departing, leave behind us
Footprints on the sands of time.”

➡️ One year ago, God summoned His servant Prophet TB Joshua to come home and rest.
➡️ One year ago, he closed his eyes to all things in this wicked world and opened them in a world of eternal glory.
➡️ One year ago, one of God’s Generals of our generation left his beautiful footprints on the sands of time.

As the Prophet Isaiah said in Isaiah 52:7 – “How beautiful on the mountain are the feet of those who bring Good News, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation.”

And though he sleeps, he still speaks (Hebrews 11:4). By faith, he still speaks!

I know the term ‘Man of God’ has been watered down in today’s society when compared to what we read in the Bible. But if ever such words were to appropriately describe someone in our generation today, it would be Prophet TB Joshua – a real MAN OF GOD! Not a religious man, a traditional man or a materially-minded man. A man driven by conviction, not convention.

➡️ A trailblazer and a torchbearer
➡️ Accessible but untouchable
➡️ Tested by the fire of life and proven by the test of time

A man who rekindled the flame of practical Christianity, who made the Bible come alive, who demonstrated the union of the Word and the Spirit. A man I have the privilege to call my mentor, my role-model, my hero in Christ.

There are so many things I could say in honour of Prophet TB Joshua. I could talk about:
– his deep compassion for people
– his wise, weighty counsel
– his keen sense of humour
– his steely, unwavering determination
– his simple humility
– his firm, fiery discipline
– his inspiring words that went like an arrow straight to your heart – words that pricked the conscience, prompted repentance and prepared one for eternity.

But the truth is that words are simply insufficient to express all God has used (and continues to use) Prophet TB Joshua to do. So today, I will let my words be few, knowing the greatest tribute I can give is not just with my lips – but with my life. True tributes last a lifetime.

But if I were to summarise – especially as one privileged to witness him behind-the-altar – I would say this: Prophet TB Joshua loved Jesus Christ with every fibre of his being!
– That unbridled passion for the cause of Christ
– That total commitment to the advancement of His Kingdom
– That deep relationship with God
permeated everything that had to do with him.

This reflected in the way he handled persecution, treated trouble, managed people, used resources, conducted affairs at the wonderful ministry of The SCOAN: God first before anything and everything else!

People often talk about the miracles, signs, wonders, deliverance, healing, prophecy – but the level of anointing flowing through Prophet TB Joshua simply reflected the level of his sacrifice for the Kingdom of God. His great love for God made him great – and such greatness outlives, outlasts generations.

I count myself privileged to be one among the millions who God used Prophet TB Joshua to change – to bring me to a closer relationship with God. I am eternally grateful and will ever acknowledge his enormous role in my life.

THE LEGACY LIVES ON

TB Joshua, The SCOAN, The Legacy of prophet TB Joshua

Just a year has passed since the departure of the great Prophet and Spiritual father, Prophet TB Joshua. The God-sent servant of our Lord came to this world with a mission, which he fulfilled! As he used to say, “One life for Christ is all I have; one life for Him is so dear!”.

What a privilege! What an honour! What an undeserving grace to taste the glory of God in its majesty through the teachings and heavenly wisdom of Prophet TB Joshua! In a world where darkness and despair dominate the souls of men, the prophet of God brought the fire of the Holy Spirit and was used as a useful tool in the hands of God Almighty, in order to return the hearts of men back to their Creator!

High ranked demons and legions, unclean spirits and curses bowed down at the mention of Jesus’ mighty name from the lips of His anointed servant! We all witnessed and tasted this special power of God for many years at Prophet T. B. Joshua’s ministry, the Synagogue, Church Of All Nations in Lagos, Nigeria.

An inconceivable joy fills our hearts in the memory of the legacy he has left behind! In memory of his love, his determination, his offer to the whole world! Even though our Prophet has returned to the Lord, his powerful words, his resounding presence and his holy example will continue to live, because he planted seeds of spirit and truth in millions of lives! Among them, in fact, are people whom the Lord set to learn under him and continue to have the fire of revival lit. The spiritual heirs! Those in whom he invested day and night, in order to spread the truth of the Gospel throughout the world and to unborn generations!

From the bottom of our hearts we thank God Almighty for His prophet in our generation! On this day, we honour prophet TB Joshua for his divine mission, his beneficial work, the eternal Word he preached, and for the millions of lives he brought to light. May the memory of his departure always remind us of a loving relationship with God, as he taught us that, “Nothing will keep us on course like a deep love for the Lord!”.

In memory of the Prophet of all nations, Prophet T. B. Joshua!

The Harvest is Plenty But the Labourers are Few

Tb Joshua, The SCOAN, Emmanuel TV, Prayer mountain
The of Prophet TB Joshua Legacy Lives On

We read in Luke Chapter 10: 1-2 how Jesus appointed seventy disciples and sent them two by two to go into every city and place He would come. Jesus said o them, “The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye, therefore, the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest”. This was the Lord Jesus Christ’s grand work. Jesus is bringing both physical and spiritual restoration to this dying and decaying world. As a worker in the field, it is necessary first to be transformed so that we can participate in Jesus’ work of salvation.

Jesus has explained these concepts clearly in Matthew (13:38-39). Jesus explains that the field is the world, the good seeds are the children of the kingdom, and the tares are the children of the wicked one. The enemy that sowed tares is the devil. The harvest is the end of the world and the reapers are the angels.

The Prophet TB Joshua, Founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), and our celebrant of June 5th have been one of the Labourers sent out to work in the field. His impact, his teaching and how he has fought gallantly with the enemy of God that is sowing tares around, is what we are celebrating. It is necessary also for each labourer to look inward and depend solely on God’s Promise of the Holy Spirit and the Sword of the Spirit. Jesus is sending us out but Jesus is coming behind us too. He isn’t leaving us alone. There is no place for laziness, complacency, or relying on resources outside Jesus’ provision. On some occasions, Jesus says we shouldn’t take anything extra but at other times to put on the whole armour of God, (Ephesians 6:11).

As we mark the First Anniversary of our beloved Prophet TB Joshua, (maybe as his wife, children, those who learned under him for several years, those he was able to touch in one way or so, those who merely follow him on Emmanuel TV and Partners, even his critics and adversaries), let us not forget to work sufficiently hard in God’s harvest field. TB Joshua was an effective pastor, prophet, church leader, preacher, and a man filled with the Holy Ghost. Any other Church, different from SCOAN, would have been fortunate to have him lead their congregation. He was able to bring Jesus into action and he contributed to the harvest. Unfortunately, the right workers are still very few indeed today. We ask the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest field.

Prophet TB Joshua Is Living On In Our Hearts As Our Rallying Point

TB Joshua, The SCOAN, Prophet, Emmanuel TV, Anointing water
Prophet TB Joshua

Sunday, June 5, 2022, will mark the first anniversary and celebration of the life and time of the Founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), Prophet TB Joshua. He passed away on Saturday, June 5, 2021, just seven days before his 58th birthday. On any human scale, it would have been an immeasurable loss to the Church, the family, the devastating disciples and followers, and the national and international communities. Even Arigidi Akoko, his home town couldn’t believe he could die. Hence His Royal Highness, the Saki of Arigidi, declared all markets and shops to close immediately on hearing the news.

Less than a year after, SCOAN, led by the Prophet’s wife, Mama Evelyn Joshua, is moving on because the cause for which TB Joshua has come to represent does not allow for mourning or to be sorrowful about.  His life can only be celebrated because it is a life devoted entirely to the service of God and humanity, and such that people can see Christ in action. He made the mission of Jesus easier and clearer for people to appreciate. He would dress simply, and mingle freely and humbly with people. His teachings are simple, Biblical, and relate to everyday life without unnecessary ceremonies or rituals. We see Jesus Christ in him. No wonder his wife could step in as if nothing has happened because of the openness and sincerity of the purpose of the original mission. It is a celebration of the life of a worthy prophet of God with a mission. Therefore we are less sad. In all this God has a purpose in everything and unto God, we commit everything including each soul. We must all join our faith together as one united in Christ, to pray for the perfection of what God has started in SCOAN, even under the leadership of Evelyn Joshua.

As we celebrate this great prophet of our time we equally remember not just the SCOAN in Lagos but every offshoot and work of TB Joshua. In particular, we remember every disciple that learned under the prophet, praying for a renewed, fresh and abundant anointing on them and their ministries. Prophet TB Joshua had crusades around the world. Our prayers also go to those who through this crusade activity gave their lives to Jesus. The goal of Prophet TB Joshua is that Jesus must be honoured as the kingdom of God expands on earth. Also that everyone will come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ through the Word demonstrated in deliverance, prophecy, healing, teaching and compassionate giving. Prophet TB Joshua’s disciples will do well to let love lead them and be guided by the Word of God every moment, even in this perilous time. Jesus has promised to send the Promise of the Father to clothe us with power from above, (Luke 24:49). May you receive the fullness of the Holy Ghost Power in your daily life.

Just as we believe that the life of Prophet TB Joshua was to fulfil God’s mission even so we individually must wait on God our heavenly father to send us out on our divine missions. Meanwhile, TB Joshua will remain a rallying point for many Christians around the globe from now to eternity. This alone is a major reason for celebration. Unless we are blessed, favoured and given from above no Christian leader can achieve this status Prophet TB Joshua has achieved. Apostle John said it better when he said, “A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven”, (John 3:27). Therefore we shall continually rejoice and celebrate all the memory we have had knowing Temitope Balogun Joshua. It has been a big privilege having first-hand contact and knowledge about him. Yet the best is yet to come to SCOAN or any of his offshoot ministries.

Prophet TB Joshua: Loaned From HEAVEN!!

How was Prophet TB Joshua able to stand so strong in the midst of such intense persecution and attack? What was the secret of his strength? Corresponding grace from Heaven!

Be blessed by these spontaneous moments of Heavenly wisdom from Prophet TB Joshua as he ministered personal prophecy to congregants at The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) in Lagos, Nigeria.

‘The Legacy Lives On’ is a new program on God’s Heart TV with Brother Chris dedicated to sharing words of wisdom and lessons of life from God’s servant, Prophet TB Joshua.

“It is the voice from Heaven I am relying on… Because I am loaned. They loaned me from Heaven to you.” – Prophet TB Joshua

DIGNITARIES’ PAYS FINAL RESPECT AS TB JOSHUA REMAINS LAID TO REST

The remains of Prophet TB Joshua was interred yesterday, 10th July 2021 in the premises of The Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) Ikotun, Lagos State, after week-long funeral rites, activities tagged: Celebrating the Life and Legacy of Prophet Joshua (1963 to 2021) – Not Mine But God’s Own.

Thousands of Faithfull from different races, cultures and countries who attended the interment service described the Prophet as a man who lived for God and humanity.

One of the high of the internment was when a lady under the influence of the Holy Ghost prophesied just after the remains of the Prophet was being taken inside the SCOAN Auditorium saying “He is so powerful; he said I should tell you that he is not dead; he is around you all, he said you should not be afraid, he is with you…” and the congregation shouted, Amen!!

Dignitaries who witnessed the colourful interment included Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu; Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Orimisan; Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who was represented by Lagos State Commissioner for Home Affairs; Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State; Dame Patience Jonathan, wife of Former President Good Luck Jonathan; Mr Anofiu Elegushi; Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II represented by his wife, Olori Silekunola Naomi; a delegation from the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN); Bashorun Dele Momodu, CEO/ Publisher, Ovation magazine; Chief David Lyon, former governorship candidate in Bayelsa State; Mr Zaied Abdalla, from Israel were among dignitaries that were in attendance when Prophet TB Joshua remains was laid to rest in the SCOAN.

The first Bible reading was taken from First Corinthians 15: 51 – 57 and was read by Governor Akeredolu, after which Bishop Stephen Ogedengbe of the Wisdom of Chapel Ministry explained the passage.

The cleric urged Christians to emulate the exemplary life of love lived by Prophet TB Joshua.

Ogedengbe said: “The character of a true believer is to find refuge in our Lord Jesus. That is why children of God are not afraid in reaching the final destination – death. Heaven is our home, our dwelling place.”

According to him, Joshua had always mentioned that those from above longed to be there.

Minister Ayoub Kara from Israel took the second Bible reading from Revelation 21: 1-7, while Pastor Robert Acosta from Argentina preached a sermon from it.

Acosta said that Christians should follow Christ “because outside Jesus there is no reality.”

He said that Joshua did so many miracles and showed much love to many people.

After the sermon, Akeredolu and the representative of Governor Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State delivered speeches.

Sanwo-Olu told the congregation that the late prophet fulfilled his destiny on earth by living for others.

He encouraged Christians to long for the spirit of dedication as shown by the SCOAN founder.

“His life should encourage us to renew our hope in Christ. Unity, peace, progress and love should be our watchword as Christians,” he said.

He urged Christians to emulate the late prophet’s life and live in peace with everyone without discriminating.

In his speech, Akeredolu described the death of Joshua as a huge loss to the people of Ondo State, Nigeria and the world at large. He revealed that the traditional ruler of his hometown, Arigidi Akoko in Akoko North local council of Ondo State, Oba Yisa Olanipekun, had mobilised him to ensure that Joshua’s remains would be buried in the town.

He noted that Joshua contributed immensely to the emancipation of the downtrodden, orphans, widows and other less privileged people.

“Joshua remains the only person who died and market men and women closed their shops for one week in his home town. Kabiesi mobilised me for the body of Joshua to be buried in his hometown because he was convinced that we should bring the body to Arigidi. And I said to Kabiesi that our late prophet has a family and where his remains will lie is for the family to decide not for him.

“I have to let you know that prophet T.B. Joshua came from Arigidi, Ondo State. He is a Nigerian but doesn’t take it away; he is a world citizen,” he said.

Speaking on Joshua’s impact in Ondo State, he recalled that when he was first elected as the governor of the state, the prophet gave his family a huge amount of money, adding that he also paid up the electricity bills of four local councils who were in darkness for years.

“T.B. Joshua’s demise is not only a loss to Ondo State or the world, it is a loss to humanity. I am not sure we have had a world congregated in this number from different countries, probably during Nelson Mandela’s burial. But the world is more represented here than when Nelson Mandela was buried,” Akeredolu added.

After the final laying to rest of the Prophet, there was a replay of the Prophet TB Joshua Mass prayer and there were manifestations of the power of God with many falling under the influence of the Holy Ghost, vomiting poisonous substance and receiving their healings in Jesus’ name.

These brought Joy to the congregation who started singing; He is Alive Amen!! Jesus is Alive, Forever He is Alive Amen!!

PROPHET TB JOSHUA LIVES ON!

EMMANUEL! GOD WITH US!!

I love the ‘evil’ of Prophet T.B Joshua

Prophet TB Joshua

As we bury T.B Joshua today, we must not bury some of the Christ-like virtues that made him outstanding.

I kept thinking throughout the night – was this how Jesus came, performed miracles, fed the poor, healed the sick and did other good works, but the people despised, hated and killed him? I am not equating any man to Jesus, but T.B Joshua demonstrated more Christ-like virtues than many “God’s Chief Registrars, Chiefs of Staff to Jesus, Assistant God, Deputy God” parading our pulpits today as “masters of the universe”.

They told us how ‘evil’ he was, but were silent on his matrimonial success. He had just one wife and they were married for 31 years… This is Christ-like.

They told us how ‘evil’ he was, but were silent when he fed the poor, built hospitals and schools, responded to humanitarian needs on our streets… This is Christ-like.

They told us how ‘evil’ he was, but kept mute on his humility to board the same coastal bus with his team to go for outreaches. This is Christ-like because even Jesus Christ boarded the same boat with his disciples.

They told us how ‘evil’ he was but kept silent when he brought peace to South Sudan. He was a peacemaker. “Blessed are the Peacemakers…”. This is Chris-like.

Not until his death did I know his wife and even children because he never projected his family. His life and preachings projected Christ more than anything else.

He was Christ-like more than many of his critics whose followers know the “Man of God” than they know the God of men. Whose followers know their ‘father in the Lord’ than they know Christ.

People of the World, please show me one T.B Joshua’s enemy. The same people calling him fake have fellow brethren they call enemies. The same people calling him false prophet have fellow ‘genuine’ pastors that they are not in talking terms with. The same people calling him ‘evil’ have fellow Christians they wish death upon… Between these people and T.B Joshua, who is more like Christ?

If Prophet T.B Joshua was ‘evil’ and he healed the sick, fed the poor, built hospitals, schools and houses for the needy, brought peace to nations of the earth, then I like his kind of ‘evil.’

Rest in Peace Prophet T.B Joshua!
