GOD’S KIND OF JUSTICE!!!

Offering sacrifices is quite common among Christians today, in order to show that they want to please God or to show their repentance for their sins. In modern times, of course, we are not talking about animal sacrifices, as they were in the Old Testament, but about different kinds of sacrifices.

For example, many believers will once sacrifice their free time or sleep to read the Bible or pray. Others may give a sum of money to a charitable cause. However, if this action is not accompanied by genuine love for the Lord, then it is in vain, for we exalt ourselves and dishonor God. While the Word of God teaches that when we humble ourselves for the sake of Christ, He will exalt us in His hour and in His time.

A strong example of two opposite cases of people can be found in 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐬 𝟒:𝟑-𝟕 ‘‘𝐈𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐛𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐫𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐢𝐥 𝐚𝐬 𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐝. Ηe gave trying to do God’s will, trying honour Him and glorify Him. Whereas, Cain gave to honour himself and dishonour God, and so it turned to sin against him.

The Lord first looks at the heart of every man and that is why he rejected Cain’s offer. Likewise for God’s children today, no matter what we offer in His work; our money, our time or anything else, the Lord is just and will reward us based on our obedience, not our sacrifice, because, no state of being is as rewarding as living in tune with God.

🙏Prayer: “Lord Jesus Christ, cleanse my heart from every evil purpose, because Christianity is found in the heart, in the purity of the heart. Help me, Lord, that my life may be pleasing to You, in Your holy name I pray, amen!”
